JOHN FARRAR Jr. - "LJ" dominated his Brown Belt opponent (2 ranks above his own) two straight matches to bring home his fourth Gold Medal from this event in three years.

DAMON SOTOMAYOR - "Daim" worked his division. The little big man was on a roll with three straight Ippon wins on his way to the Gold.

EMILIO SOTOMAYOR - "Yamash" displayed poise and control as he took the gold medal at the "Arnold" for the second year in a row, this time with two quick Ippon wins.

ITALIA COLABATISTTO - "Tal" ran through her tough, higher ranked opponents with Ippons on her way to the Gold/Silver Medal match against what recently seems to be her hardest opponent, her older brother.

ALEXANDRIA MARTINEZ - "Alex" this year again, worked very hard and brought home the Silver Medal in her division.

D'JAY KELLY - "DJ" anxious to "step it up" entered two divisions and fought very strong. One of DJ's divisions had six fighters higher than Nidan or above (Nidan = 2nd degree black belt). He fought very well letting everyone know "rank doesn't mean anything".

Hard work will beat natural talent when natural talent fails to work hard

Invincibility lies in the defense; the possibility of victory in the attack.

TRUST ME, THATS NOT OPPORTUNITY KNOCKIN'
